She is well known in the Philadelphia area as a patient-centered physician and natural childbirth advocate, as well as for having one of the lowest c-section rates in the city. 

Currently, she is affiliated with Bryn Mawr Hospital, a nationally recognized community teaching hospital, conveniently located on the Main Line, just outside of Philadelphia. Dedicated to helping the community stay well ahead on the path to life-long health, the hospital offers a full range of services, including an orthopedic center, neurovascular center, maternity services, heart services, bariatric medicine, and a cancer center. Bryn Mawr Hospital has collaborated with Nemours/Alfred I. DuPont Hospital for Children to include round-the-clock care for the level III neonatal intensive care unit, inpatient pediatric unit, and the pediatric emergency department. It also offers the Main Line Health Center in Newtown Square, an outpatient center located in Delaware County.

On a professional level, Dr. Goldberg is the Co-Founder and Associate Medical Director of the Covenant House Health Center, a shelter-based clinic for homeless adolescents. She also teaches a Doctoring course to help medical students learn to be caring physicians, is the Course Director of Electives in Community Oriented Maternity Care, as well as teaches the Medical Frontiers course on CAM. In addition to her educational activities at the University of Pennsylvania, she has been invited as a guest lecturer on women’s health and holistic medicine at other prominent institutions, including Thomas Jefferson University School of Medicine, Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, and Drexel University School of Medicine.

After earning her medical degree from the Medical College of Pennsylvania, she went on to complete her residency in family medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

Among the doctor’s achievements, she is board-certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine, which is a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice in family medicine and its sub-specialties. She is also board-certified through the American Board of Integrative Holistic Medicine. 

Family medicine is a medical specialty devoted to comprehensive health care for people of all ages. The specialist is called a family physician or family doctor. A family physician is often the first person whom a patient sees when seeking healthcare services. They examine and treat patients with a wide range of conditions and refer those with serious ailments to a specialist or appropriate facility. 

Throughout her extensive career, Dr. Goldberg has been honored with several awards and recognitions, including the CRC Award for Academic Excellence in Chemistry in 1990, Ciba-Geneva Award for Outstanding Community Service in 1995, Janet M. Glasgow Memorial Achievement Citation of the American Women’s Association in 1999, Phila Academy of Family Physicians Memorial Prize for Excellence – Study of Family Medicine in 1999, AAFP Award for Excellence in Residency Training in 2002, and Best Clinician Award in 2005.
