After graduating from St. John’s University with his Bachelor of Pharmacy degree in 1987, he went on to obtain his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in 1991. He then completed his residency at Passaic Beth Israel Hospital in 1993.

Throughout his extensive career, Dr. Ramirez was the past Chief of Passaic Beth Israel Medical Center, past Chief of Meadowlands Hospital, past Resident Director of St. Mary’s Hospital, as well as the past Consultant for Solano Orthopedics, Seal External Fixation Company, and Medartis Orthopedics. 

At present, he is an Assistant Director and an Externship Coordinator at Hackensack University Medical Center at Palisades for the Podiatric Surgical Residency Program.

A Diplomate of the American College of Surgeons (FACFASFAS) and a Fellow of the American College of Foot & Ankle Orthopedics and Medicine (FACFAOM), the doctor is board-certified in podiatric surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery, whose mission is to protect and improve the health and welfare of the public by advancing the art and science of foot and ankle surgery. He is also a Registered Pharmacist (RPH).
