Educated in the United States, Dr. Hamaoui completed her undergraduate degree at Brown University, where she was part of Sigma Xi, the scientific research honor society. She completed her medical education, residency in internal medicine, and fellowship in geriatric medicine at the New York University Medical College and was named Geriatric Fellow of the Year.

In pursuit of clinical excellence, she is double board-certified in internal medicine and geriatric medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Continuously advancing her efforts, Dr. Hamaoui is an active member of the American College of Physicians, the American Geriatrics Society, and the American College of Lifestyle Medicine.

Among her other roles, she maintains admitting privileges at Hackettstown Medical Center and Overlooks Medical Center.
