Other common conditions he treats include chest pain, palpitations, syncope, ADHD, pediatric hypertension, hypercholesterolemia, obesity, Down syndrome, Marfan’s syndrome, and sports clearance in high-end athletes to prevent sudden cardiac death, as well as various arrhythmias. He also performs fetal echocardiograms in collaboration with maternal obstetrics physicians. All tests including electrocardiogram, echocardiogram, fetal echocardiogram, Holter monitor, and blood pressure monitor are done on-site and results are shared with families in a timely fashion.
A graduate of Nishtar Medical University in Pakistan, Dr. Ahmad relocated to the United States to further his training. He completed his residency in pediatrics at Columbia University Medical Center in New York City, New York, followed by his fellowship at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada.
A member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the doctor is board-certified in both pediatrics and pediatric cardiology by the American Board of Pediatrics, which is an independent and nonprofit organization that was founded in 1933. It is one of the 24 certifying boards of the American Board of Medical Specialties.
