Antonio Barros has been photographing celebrities for more than 15 years. Karl Lagerfeld, Rihanna, Anna Wintour, Heidi Klum, Kanye West,
Anne Hathaway, Kate Moss, Giorgio Armani, and Pamela Anderson are just some of the names he has snapped with his Polaroid camera.
His most beloved project, “The Singular”, which was featured in Vogue UK, Vogue Brazil, and several other magazines will be available soon as NFT for collectors.
The work was done with an original Polaroid film and portrays celebrities he had the opportunity to cross paths with.
“Time will eventually fade the analog polaroids and NFTs are the best form to protect the pictures from the danger of losing them,” says Antonio.
The artist received many offers for the polaroids, but he never had the courage to sell the original prints. Just like his Polaroids, each NFT will be unique.
The NFT collection will include Polaroids taken over the past 15 years and some unpublished images. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the NFTs will be used to
open a permanent exhibition in Paris and New York with the original Polaroids. The gallery will have free admission and will also have a space dedicated to new talents.
