After a simple download from the Google Play or Apple Store, the app pairs instantly with users’ Apple Pay or Google Pay wallets and works as an added layer of privacy and protection as the app does not collect, store or share any personal data or card details.
What also sets the platform apart is that it supports all types of QR payment modes (consumer scan and merchant scan), which opens the possibility for travellers to use it anywhere they go!
Liquid Group always strives to be at the forefront in terms of innovative and sustainable digital payment solutions. As part of its XNAP App launch, the company is also rolling out its new ‘app-less’ camera payment feature for consumers to “XNAP to Pay’
First, of its kind in Asia, this revolutionary payment method relies on the in-phone camera where consumers do not even need to open their app to make the payment. They can simply just flip up the camera on their smartphone and instantly scan an XNAP QR code provided by any accepting merchant.
This method quickens the payment journey even further, resulting in an effortless payment experience. No app, no tap, just XNAP! Initially, the app-less method will be offered by a few selected merchants at Changi Airport, Singapore. Google Pay and Apple Pay wallet users can look out for Google Pay and Apple Pay QR acceptance marks to know if the service is available.
Jeremy Tan, Founder and CEO of Liquid Group, commented “This is an exciting first step, by enabling digital QR payments for scheme cards across our XNAP network, we have now in place the infrastructure that will support the many exciting and innovative digital programmes of our various rewards, loyalty and BNPL app partners.”
Exciting perks ahead
Consumers using XNAP to Pay, whether it is with or without the app, can soon expect a full range of benefits coming their way. Liquid Group is working closely with a pipeline of XNAP business partners to enable exciting digital rewards programmes and network-wide rebates.
On top of that, users will continue to earn their usual points, miles, and rewards from their credit cards linked to their Google Pay and Apple Pay wallets.
“The aim for us is to always provide forward-thinking and sustainable payment solutions that benefit the end-consumer. Operating a digital cross-border network, we are firm believers that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts and that the XNAP App will be a valuable piece to a larger puzzle”, said Anna Karlsson, Head of Marketing & Communications at Liquid Group.
