Lowestoft council bans trans film
(YorkPedia Editorial):- Lowestoft, Suffolk Oct 18, 2022 (Issuewire.com) – The first Lowestoft Film festival has been thrown into doubt after a controversial decision to ban a film about Gender. The film has been dropped from the Official programme a week before the screening. The film “She He It ” by multi-award-winning filmmaker Tony Hickson has picked up 16 awards Worldwide on the Festival circuit since its debut in April.
Tony said ” I found out in an e-mail that the screening was not going ahead with the reason being that there was a problem with getting an age classification from the council, when I spoke to the council they were very vague about the whole situation. I had intended to go up to the festival with my team and publicist to promote the film, but now there’s not much point”.
