At NYU Langone Hospital–Long Island, he and his staff always work together with patients and their loved ones as a team. Patients and families trust and confide in Dr. Rabinowitz because he listens carefully and without judgment.
He strives to create an office environment that encourages his patients to relax and talk openly–he listens to their histories and observes nonverbal cues. He explains their diagnoses in understandable terms and is always honest with patients.
After graduating with his medical degree from the New York Medical College in 1976, Dr. Rabinowitz went on to further his training. He performed his residency in internal medicine and his fellowship in pulmonary disease at Montefiore Medical Center in 1979 and 1981, respectively.

The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
As a young man, friends and family members often sought Dr. Rabinowitz’s aid for cuts, bruises, and other maladies. They also shared their worries and concerns with him. As he matured, he realized that he had a gift for providing care to those in need. He chose the specialty of pulmonary medicine because it requires the mastery of several sciences: anatomy, physiology, and internal medicine.
In New York, Dr. Rabinowitz is affiliated with NYU Langone Ambulatory Care Bethpage, NYU Winthrop Hospital, Plainview Hospital, St. Joseph Hospital – Bethpage, and St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center.
