(YorkPedia Editorial):- New York City, New York Jan 20, 2023 (Issuewire.com) – Dr. Rainey is a committed physical therapist with a passion for helping his patients achieve optimal fitness, wellness, and sports performance. In November 2016, he opened his own physical therapy clinic, Rainey Pain & Performance, where he uses a variety of manual therapy techniques such as dry needling, instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM), and joint mobilizations to help patients overcome their pain and injuries.
Known for his ability to empower patients who have lost hope, his approach is to listen to his patients, understand their needs, and develop a personalized treatment plan that will help them achieve their goals and regain their health and mobility. He specializes in treating TMJ disorders, migraines, pelvic floor pain, incontinence, sciatica, fibromyalgia, and arthritis.
Academically, Dr. Rainey is a graduate of Brigham Young University, earning his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science with minors in Nutrition and Business Management in 2011. Physical therapy (PT), also known as physiotherapy, is one of the allied health professions that, by using evidence-based kinesiology, electrotherapy, shockwave modality, exercise prescription, joint mobilization, and health education, treats conditions such as chronic or acute pain, soft tissue injuries, cartilage damage, arthritis, gait disorders, and physical impairments typically of musculoskeletal, cardiopulmonary, neurological, and endocrinological origins. Physical therapy is used to improve a patient’s physical functions through physical examination, diagnosis, prognosis, physical intervention, rehabilitation, and patient education. It is practiced by physical therapists (known as physiotherapists in many countries).
A dedicated professional, Dr. Rainey truly cares about his patients and is committed to helping them achieve their best possible outcomes. He has been the recipient of the Clinical Educator of the Year Award (2020) and Clinical Excellence Student of the Year Award (2013) by the Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions.
When not helping others, he enjoys trail running, lifting weights, playing sports, reading non-fiction books, and watching documentaries.
