India and New Zealand all set for World Cup Semifinal 2019

On Tuesday, at Old Trafford in Manchester both India and New Zealand is ready to face off in the first semi-final of the World Cup 2019. During the League stage, the two teams didn’t face each other as the match at Nottingham was canceled because of heavy rain. However, under the captaincy of Virat Kholi, India has finished his league on the top of the points table. They have won seven matches out of nine. Moreover, the captain of New Zealand is in the fourth-ranking on the point board with a better run rate.

However, Old Trafford has witnessed the defeat of Pakistan and West Indies by India is the league stage. But it might rain in the semi-final and the sky is cloudy and is expected to remain the same throughout the day. If it rains hard then the match will be rescheduled on Wednesday.

To bring a change in the game strategy India might include Yuzvendra Chahal in the game. However, he didn’t play in the last league match against Sri Lanka on Saturday. According to the report, he may replace all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja.

Till now in the seven matches, Kuldeep didn’t play an impressive game as he took six wickets in the seven matches till now. In the Knockout Indian captain might give a chance to this left-arm player to perform.

In the last match, Mohammed Shami is replaced by Bhuvneshwar Kumar and is expected to play as India’s formula of the five bowlers who really worked well for them at Headingley. However, Dinesh Karthik was seen engaged in the net session and also expected to bat in the lower middle-order. Henry Nicholls opener of New Zealand has failed to impress much with the willow. In the last two matches, he scored zero in one and eight in another after being replaced by Colin Munro.

On the other hand, it is expected that Munro who didn’t perform an impressive job in some matches where he scored 12, nine and Zero may make a comeback.
