She operates out of the following locations in Ohio: Columbus, Pickerington, and Westerville. She is also on active staff at OhioHealth Grant Medical Center.

Academically, Dr. Ryan graduated with her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine at Ohio University in 2004. She then served her internship and residency in general surgery at Doctors Hospital in 2005 and 2009, respectively. She followed this up with a fellowship in surgical oncology at Roger Williams Medical Center in 2011.
Distinguished as a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons (FACOS), she is board-certified in general surgery through the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery (AOBS). The AOBS is an organization that provides board certification to qualified Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine who specialize in the use of surgery to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of disease.
General surgery is a surgical specialty that focuses on abdominal contents including the esophagus, stomach, small bowel, colon, liver, pancreas, gallbladder, appendix, and often the thyroid gland.
