(YorkPedia Editorial):- New York City, New York Dec 13, 2021 (Issuewire.com) – An established pediatrician, Dr. Guttenberg is affiliated with Pediatric & Adolescent Medicine, LLP, serving patients in the Manhattan and Westchester areas.
Pediatric & Adolescent Medicine, LLP began on the Upper West Side in 1979. As the community has evolved into one of New York’s prime family neighborhoods, the practice grew from two doctors to its present size – nine pediatricians and three pediatric nurse practitioners. A Westchester office was added in 1994, as some families moved to the suburbs. Despite many changes and having two separate locations, the practice has strived to remain as it started: a community-based practice with strong academic connections, able to take a personal interest in all patients and their families.
Born and raised in New York, Dr. Guttenberg completed her undergraduate education at Amherst College. She graduated with her medical degree from New York University School of Medicine and completed her residency in pediatrics at the same educational venue.
Recognized as a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatricians (FAAP), the doctor is board-certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). The mission of the ABP is to advance child health by certifying pediatricians who meet standards of excellence and are committed to continuous learning and improvement.
Teaching students, she serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor within the Department of Pediatrics at New York University School of Medicine.
Pediatrics is the branch of medicine that involves the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends individuals be under pediatric care up to the age of 21. Pediatricians provide medical care to people ranging in age from newborns to young adults. They are trained to examine, diagnose, and treat children with a wide variety of injuries and illnesses through all of their developmental stages, as they grow and mature.
As a testament to her success, Dr. Guttenberg has been the recipient of the Top Doctor in New York Metro Area Award (2018-2021), the Exceptional Women in Medicine Award (2019-2021), and the Top Doctor Award by New York Magazine (2021).
Speaking several languages, she is fluent in English, Spanish, and Russian.
