The ABS is an independent, non-profit organization located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, founded for the purpose of certifying surgeons who have met a defined standard of education, training, and knowledge.
To stay at the forefront of a challenging specialty, Dr. Molina maintains professional memberships with the American College of Surgeons, the Surgical Oncology Society, the International Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association, the American Society of Breast Surgeons, and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons.
Surgical oncology is the branch of surgery applied to oncology; it focuses on the surgical management of tumors, especially cancerous tumors. Surgical oncologists are general surgeons with specialty training in procedures for diagnosing, staging (determining the stage of cancer) or removing cancerous growths.
