Versatile music veteran O’Neill Fernandes is ready to proceed further on his never-ending musical journey with the release of his 47th album ‘Dance Into The Light’. Creatively crafted, O’Neill has offered a total of 21 instrumental covers through this album project that can captivate listeners of all ages and tastes. The album covers a wide range of music across every era as the artist offers both, retro and modern flavours. Starting from 1961, O’Neill has covered the tracks from 2024 as well. Masterfully designed, this music project is a powerful example of O’Neill’s dynamic skills as an instrumentalist.
Spreading his name across the world, O’Neill is well revered as a Pop music artist from Perth who has made numerous instrumental covers of some of the best musical tracks. The latest album also comes with an engaging track list which makes it more unique and colourful. O’Neill offered a new version of ‘Heaven Must Be Missing an Angel’ which was originally released by the famous American band Tavares in 1976. It was a lead single from their fourth album named ‘Sky High’. The song which was written by Freddie Perren and Keni St. Lewis, has finally received a new rendition with O’Neill’s instrumental skills.
The album ‘Dance Into The Light’ also provides another track named ‘Get Ready’ this is perhaps the third version of the track that comes with an instrumental cover. The original track was written by Smokey Robinson and it created two versions of the track, one was done by The Temptations in 1966 and the other one was done by Rare Earth in 1970.
