The release of the cinematic trailer of the famous fan-project Skyblivion has brought some good news for the Elder Scrolls fanatics.
Skyblivion is a volunteer-run project that has been taken up by passionate video game users, to reconstruct the entire structure of the fourth Elder Scrolls game, Oblivion, inside of its sequel, Skyrim. Well, the project has been under development for quite a while now. The news that Skyblivion creators drop a teaser trailer has spread like a fire and fans just cannot keep calm.
It resulted in the creation of the massive world of Oblivion’s Cyrodill; completely recreated within the Skyrim’s rich graphics with dungeons, hundreds of quests and side-quests and all the other details. This change is enough to make the veterans of the Elder Scrolls and the newcomers cry with joy.
The project is created with too much passion, and with only volunteers working on it, means there is no fear of the greed of the corporation manipulating Skyblivion and driving its followers towards money. The head of the project, TESRenewal does these kinds of works only to spread joy among gamers. Skyblivion is also said to be available without any charges.
At the end of the project, the players will be having the option to pick facets of their choices to install. Due to the dependence of the mod on the assets, the players need to install all Skyrim and Oblivion DLC. For all these, the Oblivion needs Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine, and Skyrim needs Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn. It can be assumed that the players of Elder Scrolls already have these elements.
The journey of Skyblivion set off in 2012, and slowly gained traction just like TESRenewal did with projects like Skywind, which did the same with Morrowind. Skywind is gaining a lot of attention, and considered to be worthy of Elder Scrolls fanatics’ attention.
Due to the limited number of skilled workers and programmers to work on a video game, it has always been progressing slowly. The best among all the things is the message given in the description through which the developers expressed the joy of their days of hard work finally getting paid, and showed their excitement of showing the fans and supporters their work.
Though no official release date has been revealed, yet the term ‘the end is almost in sight’ used in their message makes it clear that it will be released soon.
