Furthering her training, she completed an additional residency in clinical neurology in the Harvard Hospital Systems at Massachusetts General Hospital, Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital, and Brigham and Women’s Hospital with her primary children’s hospital being Boston Children’s Hospital in 2011. A year later, she performed a fellowship in epilepsy and clinical neurophysiology within the Harvard Hospital system.

With a passion for treating children, the doctor attained board certifications collectively in epilepsy, neurology, and child neurology through the American Board of Neurology and Psychiatry (ABPN). The ABPN is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to serving the professions of psychiatry and neurology. Furthermore, Dr. Heard gives back by traveling abroad to various African and Latin-speaking countries to help with treating pediatric patients and patients with epilepsy on a global scale.
